To optimise health outcomes, patient experience, efficiency, and care costs, care delivery systems should respond to the needs of different population segments in different ways. It is therefore essential to understand your population segments in detail.

National Segmentation Dataset

Longitudinal linked data

A groundbreaking dataset developed in collaboration with NHS England until 2025 to support national population health analytics. It transformed vast national data into actionable insights by categorising populations based on health needs. By leveraging this comprehensive dataset, and configuring it locally, health systems were able to understand population health trends and make informed decisions that improve health outcomes across the nation.

HealthSpan^®

Healthier, longer lives

Population-level HEALTHSPAN® is the first objective measure of the amount of time individuals spend in good health. It measures when people develop their first significant long term condition, and the average age at which this occurs within a population.

A novel development in how we measure the success of health and care systems in helping people live longer, healthier lives.
