About Us

Outcomes Based Healthcare (OBH) are specialists in person-centred health data curation. Pioneering NHS England’s National Bridges to Health Segmentation Dataset: a nationally consistent approach to enabling health systems to identify priorities for population cohorts with similar needs, allocate resources effectively, and measure the outcomes of their interventions.

Our goal is to empower health systems to improve people’s outcomes, and drive the shift towards prevention and proactive, value-based care.

We leverage cutting-edge technologies, including Apache Spark, Azure Synapse, Databricks, and Palantir Foundry, to deliver impactful data products.

Position Overview

Outcomes Based Healthcare (OBH) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Product Owner to lead the evolution of one of the NHS’s most impactful population health tools — the National Segmentation Dataset.

This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of healthcare analytics at a national level, translating client needs into strategic product direction and delivering value across the health system.

As Product Owner, you will act as a crucial bridge between NHS partners and OBH’s multidisciplinary teams, ensuring the Segmentation Dataset remains clinically meaningful, technically robust, and aligned to the evolving needs of population health management. You will take ownership of the product roadmap, manage priorities, and guide the dataset’s development through all stages of the product lifecycle — from vision to delivery. The role offers a rare chance to influence how population health is defined, measured, and improved across the NHS.

The ideal candidate will bring substantial experience in healthcare product ownership or management, with strong familiarity with NHS data and systems. You will have a background in healthcare analytics or informatics, a sound understanding of population health policy, and a proven ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders, translating complex requirements into clear, actionable priorities. Experience with Agile methodologies and multidisciplinary teams will be essential, as will excellent communication and strategic thinking skills.

At OBH, you will join a purpose-led organisation committed to transforming health systems through the power of data. Our collaborative team of clinicians, public health experts, analysts and engineers operates within a four-day working week model, supported by private healthcare, professional development opportunities, and a dynamic work environment. As part of the wider RCI Group, you will also benefit from cross-sector collaboration and shared learning across a mission-driven network of organisations.

To apply, please submit a full CV and a personal statement (no more than two A4 pages) outlining your interest in the role and the experience you would bring. Contact details for three referees should also be included (references will not be contacted without your permission). Applications should be sent to: apply@hunter-healthcare.com.
